Week 5 

This week on the Muffin Mission, it was not a muffin mission at all! Taking advantage of the spirit of Thanksgiving, instead of continuing the muffin path, I took a break from this and tried my hand in the art of pie making. And did it ever pay off! Pumpkin pie was the fan favorite for the weekend. The hardest part was definitely trying to fit the pie crust to the pan without it cracking. But a few conversations with the dough later, it finally took the shape of those award-winning bakery crusts!

Not so bad for the first time!

Here is the final product. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all after it had been topped off with a little bit of ice cream, whip cream, or a bit of both! Overall, this week’s deviation from the muffin mission was a success. No recipe posted this week because I cannot be the one spilling the famous family recipe. Until next time!
